TJSW® FGD Gypsum

Desulfurization gypsum (English name desulfuration gypsum), also known as flue gas desulfurization gypsum, sulfur gypsum, or FGD gypsum, has the same main component as natural gypsum, being calcium sulfate dihydrate CaSO4·2H2O, with a content of ≥93%. Desulfurization gypsum is a byproduct of the FGD process, which is a technology that uses lime-limestone to recover sulfur dioxide from flue gas containing coal or oil. This technology involves grinding lime-limestone into a slurry, through which the SO2-containing flue gas after dust removal passes to remove SO2. The lime slurry reacts with SO2 to form calcium sulfate and calcium sulfite, which is then oxidized to convert into calcium sulfate, producing industrial by-product gypsum known as desulfurization gypsum, widely used in construction materials and other industries.
